The spring tide surges, ushering in a new journey. The power of role models spurs us on. In order to honor the advanced, set benchmarks, and inspire the enthusiasm and drive for progress among all senior high school students, on the afternoon of March 6th, our Senior High School Department held the first commendation meeting of the new semester grandly on the school sports field, which was presided over by Deputy Director Jiang Shengyou of the Senior High School Department. Meanwhile, Vice Principal Xiao Qingke, Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai, Director Wang Yinchai of the International Department and Deputy Directors Xu Haihong and Zhu Yanyan attended and presented awards to the winning students.

In the first place, we initiated the first item on the agenda of the conference: holding the 'Two Stars' award ceremony. To be concrete, in order to set an example and inspire all teachers and students, the Senior High School Department held a grand ceremony to honor the 'Star of Learning' and 'Star of Progress' who performed outstandingly in the final exam of the last semester. Not only did this award ceremony commend the winners but also created a favorable atmosphere of 'racing to catch up, helping each other' in the Senior High School Department, encouraging all students to learn from the virtuous and strive for excellence.

In the second place, students Zhang Ziyang from Class 1, Grade 9 shared his learning experiences. Based on his own learning practice, he emphasized the significance of the three key learning principles: 'being diligent in thinking, being willing to communicate, and being good at summarizing'. Specifically, during the sharing, he actively advocated that students should establish a learning community where they help and support each other. Also, through the exchange of ideas, they can achieve mutual growth and continuously improve themselves in collaborative and communicative activities.

In the third place, we conducted the third item on the agenda of the conference: Vice Principal Xiao Qingke and Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai presented the double awards for international competitions to Wang Yihuan, a student from the overseas study class. Wang performed exceptionally well in the 2025 American Mathematics Competition (AMC) and won the silver medal in the 2026 British Physics Olympiad (Challenge) competition! Thus, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, the title of 'International Competition Star' was hereby conferred.

In the fourth place, we proceeded the fourth item on the agenda of the conference: Commending students who have excelled in special assignments in geography, history, and foreign languages. Each subject in the Senior High School Department focuses on core competencies and meticulously designs special assignments, enabling learning to extend from textbooks to real life. Accordingly, not only did this commendation stimulate students' enthusiasm for participating in special assignments but also promoted the innovative development of subject-specific teaching.

In the fifth place, we implemented the fifth item on the agenda of the conference: Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai delivered a keynote speech in which he emphasized that all students should set lofty ideals, work diligently and study hard. While honing their solid skills, they should also pay attention to moral cultivation and strive to become well-rounded young people of the new era. Additionally, Assistant Principal Xu Zuitai required all teachers to adhere to the original intention of education, delve into teaching research, continuously improve their professional skills, and accompany students' growth with love and wisdom, thus jointly creating a high-quality and efficient educational ecosystem.

In conclusion, the commendation ceremony has come to an end, however, the journey has only just begun. The first commendation conference of this new semester has united our strength, clarified our direction, and ignited the enterprising enthusiasm of all teachers and students. In the new semester, all teachers and students of our Senior High School Department will take this meeting as an opportunity, follow the role models, use hard work as the background, persevere without slackening, and strive to be the best, jointly writing a new chapter in the development of the Senior High School Department!
